Four authentic Edo period original, c.1800, Japanese erotic art shunga woodblock print pictures by a member of the Kitagawa School. 
 
Shunga pictures measure approximately 10.3 cm x 16 cm each.  Very good colors and impressions.  Condition is decent for their age with some wear, soiling, stains, and wormage mainly on the white borders.  No backing.  Please see and judge from photos provided.
 
Japanese original shunga woodblock print pictures comprising four fascinating illustrated studies of Edo-period erotic toys and sexual implements.  Presented individually and accompanied by extensive written commentary, the objects include a variety of forms intended for intimate use, turning these sheets into something resembling an illustrated catalogue or instructional guide to the erotic accessories of the Edo period.
