A rare complete three-volume shunga book set by Utagawa Kunisada, one of the leading shunga masters of the late Edo period and a central figure of the Utagawa school. Koi no Yatsufuji is regarded as one of Kunisada’s most accomplished and visually refined shunga series, notable for its dynamic compositions, rich color, and high-quality deluxe printing, including mica (metallic pigments), bokashi shading, and exceptionally detailed line work. Presented here in fully bound, complete form, this set offers the work as originally intended.

Artist: Utagawa Kunisada (Toyokuni III). As Toyokuni III and successor to the Utagawa lineage, Kunisada was among the most commercially successful and influential artists of 19th-century Japan.
