Authentic Edo period original, c.1840-1860, Japanese surimono shunga erotic art woodblock picture lot of twelve by various artists of the UTAGAWA School.  Each shunga picture measures approximately 12.5 cm x 9.1 cm.  Very good colors and impressions.  Condition is good with some light wear and soiling; most of the shunga pictures have partial hanko stamps showing on them near their edges.  No backing, aside from bit remnants of album backing on the corners only.  Wonderful embossing, as well as gold mica (metallic gold pigments) on a number of the shunga pictures.  Please see and judge from photos.
