This is a mixed lot of three homoerotic shunga artworks, spanning from the Meiji period to Showa period for the lithograph booklet. While condition is varied, the set offers both collectors and scholars an accessible entry into rare same-sex imagery within Japanese erotic art.

Contains phallus-creature scenes X 2, among other playful imagery. 8 pages of shunga artwork with remaining pages being kanji text pages.
Format: Bound book, 18 × 12 cm (closed).
Six Paintings on Washi paper (Kyōsai School, “Big Tail”)
Attributed in style to the great caricaturist Kawanabe Kyōsai.
Bold, humorous sketches with homoerotic themes on 4/6 pieces.
Each sheet: approx. 17 × 12.5 cm.
Lithograph Shunga Book (Showa Period, Cheap Print)
A wild and frenzied little booklet with a number of odd shunga scenes within; at least two male-to-male scenes.
Contains 25 pages of artwork (not all shown here). Artwork on every page.
Condition:
Overall: Mixed – ranging from decent/water-stained for the 1870 book, to creased for the Kyosai paintings, and mint for the lithograph booklet. Please judge from the photos provided.
Priced as a study/economy lot — good value for collectors of homoerotic shunga or those seeking unusual subject matter rather than pristine condition.
