Authentic Edo period original, Tenpo era, 4th year (1833), Japanese shunga erotic art woodblock print picture by Kuniyoshi Utagawa (1797-1861).  From his series, Enseki zasshi.  Shunga picture measures approximately 33.3 cm x 22.8 cm.  Very good colors and impressions.  Condition is good with some wear and soiling, numerous - yet faint! - vertical fold lines.  No backing. 
 
A very rare underwater classic depicting a male awabi (abelone) diver performing cunnilingus on a receptive diving girl.  A highly detailed piece and simply exceptional artwork!  
 
For years this picture has been attributed to an 'unknown' elite artist of the Utagawa School but recently, experts have come to agree that it is indeed by Utagawa Kuniyoshi.
