Senju’s hauntingly elegant vision of the tragic spirit Yuugao, entwined with blooming moonflowers beneath an even more haunting moon in the background.  The pale, ethereal figure emerges from shadow, her flowing black hair and delicate features caught between beauty and melancholy.  Combining ghostly presence with botanical symbolism, the print captures the fleeting nature of love, loss, and impermanence in a work that is both lyrical and unsettling.
 
Size:  28.5 cm x 13.2 cm.  Each print in this limited edition of 50 is signed and numbered by the artist, and includes his hand-carved red hanko seal on the reverse — a mark of authenticity and tradition.  Printed on 230gsm archival matte paper, this piece is both a tribute to Japan’s shunga heritage and a bold statement of contemporary erotic art.
