Authentic & Original Edo Period shunga woodblock print picture.  From the Kyowa era, 3rd year (1803), it's an extremely rare & taboo-themed Japanese erotic art shunga scene by Kitagawa UTAMARO (1753-1806).  From his famous shunga series, Ehon warai jogo (The Laughing Drinker).  The shunga picture measures approximately 26.6 cm x 21.7 cm.  Very good colors and impressions.  Good condition with just some wear and soiling, most notably at the bottom corners.  Very thin and nearly transparent washi backing on reverse.  Please refer to photos.   
 
A very rare and unusual original shunga woodblock print picture from 1803.  In this taboo-themed scene, a brother and sister are caught in the act of their incestuous relationship by their father who stumbles upon them while opening the shoji (sliding door).
